Emerged from one of the Centre for Environment Education’s (CEE) ESD programmes in the schools of the beautiful city of Hyderabad, India, the Hand Print is growing as an promising concept and is gaining popularity.


Hand Print measure can be an ESD tool to calculate the role of ESD components in any given positive action towards sustainable development.The tool designed given here is specifically designed to measure the contribution of ESD in the promotion of positive actions towards biodiversity conservation and sustainable use for achieving Aichi Biodiversity Targets in the UN Decade on Biodiversity.
